This time, i choose this company..

Why Lego? I think Lego are creative enough to fulfill our wildest dream about alternative toys. If you are bored with just that so so toys, you can turn your face on Lego. Lego are famous with their simple bricks.

Lego bricks can be assembled and connected in many ways, to construct such objects as vehicles, buildings and even working robots. Anything constructed can then be taken apart again, and the pieces used to make other objects. Kits are sold which contain all necessary pieces for a particular project. Some hobbyists try to collect, buy, and sell various other pieces in different shapes and colors, to construct other hobbyist-created designs. The toys were originally designed in the 1940s in Europe and have achieved an international appeal, with an extensive subculture that supports Lego movies, games, competitions, and four Lego-themed amusement parks.

 

Lego are very great in expanding their business. One of their great example is the adaptation from movie to game. They partnering with the movie maker to make the games more attractive. That was a great strategy. Nowadays, many game that adapted from movies are in ‘Lego Mode’. Like, Indiana Jones, Batman, and the most popular line is Star Wars Saga. Very creative. They can take advantages of the successful Star Wars to gain more profit by partnering with them and make a souvenir for Star Wars fan. After success with Star Wars, they try with another movies to game like i mentioned above.

 

Okay, lets back to the Lego itself. From wikipedia, i know that the Lego Group began in the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen, a carpenter from Billund, Denmark. Christiansen began creating wooden toys in 1932; the company began calling itself “Lego” two years later in 1934. The company name Lego was coined by Christiansen from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means “play well”. The name could also be interpreted as “I put together” or “I assemble”. Great, isn’t it? That’s reflected the way we use the toys.

 

Why i think Lego is creative? Because, Lego can make their customer be creative too. A creative company must be able to make their customer be creative too. So, because Lego is fully customizable, almost all of Lego user are creative in construct their Lego. Even, there are Lego that constructed to be a tallest Lego building. Can you guess it’s height? Here it is…

Like I said before, a company can be called creative if they can make their customer to be creative. So, who said Lego will make us creative? ME!!!
