Personality Test

Hey, I got an interesting website to know about our personality. Actually, I got it around 1 month ago. This is the url of the website, quizbox. The result is surprising me. Just look at my result. Are they match with me?

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties. (Yes, I’m a listener to both sides, but I think I’m not an efficient problem solver.)

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don’t judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren’t necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people’s eyes. (Really?)

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship. (This is really me… Hehehe...)

The seriousness of your love:

You are very serious about relationships and aren’t interested in wasting time with people you don’t really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love. (Maybe this is the reason why I tend to not move on.)

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can. (Hmmm...)

The right job for you:

You’re a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you’ll be set for life. (Don’t know yet.)

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying. (A bit of me.)

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel. (Have no idea about it.)

Who is your true self:

You like privacy very much because you enjoy spending time with your own thoughts. You like to disappear when you cannot find solutions to your own problems, but you would feel better if you learned to share your thoughts with a person you trust. (This is really fits me.)

Nah, how about you? Want to give it a try?

They aren’t Shredders, They are Awesome

This pure opinion is in random number. I like them because their play style and their charisma on the stage. So, let’s start from my country first, which is Indonesia. Here they are…

He is a guitarist of Dewa(legendary band from Indonesia, which previously named Dewa 19) and Andra and The Backbone. This guy is really good when he plays with his PRS guitar. He is playing very calm and clean. When plays as Dewa‘s guitarist, he plays gently. But, in Andra an The Backbone, he plays wildly. But, personally, I prefer he as the guitarist of Andra and The Backbone rather than as Dewa‘s.

He is a guitarist of Gigi, Trisum and also has a solo project. I’m impressed with his plays since the first of his solo concert, which is just a year ago. Denis is the boy who invited me to watch Budjana’s concert. Since that concert, I began to listen his music, especially his solo project and Trisum. And, I realize that he is one of the best jazz guitarist in Indonesia. Even though he is very calm when performing, but not with his fingers. His fingers move fast but sure according to the songs. In Indonesia, he is very famous with his blue Parker guitar.

Nah, those two guitarists are my favorite guitarists in Indonesia. Below is my other favorite guitarists that came from outside Indonesia. Here they are…

Okay, he is my hero. He is a guitarist, a vocalist, and a frontman of a band called Nirvana. I like his style, his guitar, his Nirvana, and his left hand. If you read my previous post about 10 facts, I mentioned him as my hero because he is lefties. But, not only that, I adore him in many things. Some says that his guitars skills are bad, but I think they are just envy to him. He has a very very simple way to play guitar. I also like his songs. He is very charismatic in stage, even though he often to wore weird dress when performing. And another unique thing is his guitar. I like his guitar. His guitar is a combination between Fender Jaguar and Fender Mustang. That’s why the guitar’s name is Fender Jagstang.

He is the guitarist of Slipknot and Stone Sour. I like his style when he perform on the stage, especially when perform with Slipknot. I always like his mask, rather than the others in Slipknot. He is physically looks like a devil that play a guitar. And he has number 4 as the Slipknot number. His guitar is a unique guitar. I think only he that plays metal using Fender Telecaster. Before him, there isn’t any guitarist who play metal using Fender Telecaster. Only he can do it, and the result is great. Just listen to a brand new Slipknot’s album, and feel the sound of his guitar.

I don’t have anything to said, do I? He is the master, I think. Just listen to his albums, and you will understand why he impressed me, even impressed anyone who play guitar.

10 Things That You didn’t Know About Me

# Each blogger must post these rules.
# Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
# Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose ten people to get tagged and list their names.

# Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’ve been tagged and to read your blog

I don’t know what kind of game is this. At first, I’m tagged by Dilla. Then, I think it is interesting, while I don’t have anythings to do. At least for now. So, I decided to join this game. For your information, these ten facts maybe outside of my expectation and I also surprise that I have facts like those. I hope you don’t. Hehehe..

#1. I really wants to be a lefties.

I don’t know what happens to me, but I’m sure that I really wants to be a left handed. I think it is great to be a lefties. Maybe I’ve got inspired by my hero whose are lefties too. Kurt Cobain. He is a great artist , and he is lefties. At elementary school, I ever try a week to use only my left hand. The result? I think I’ve been dying to write, to eat, and doing many things with my left hand. But, I think I’m far to be a AMBIDEXTERITY, which is a person who can use their both hands perfectly. Hehe… Maybe that’s will happen, if I still continue to use my left hand.

#2. I was a great nail biter.

Yes, but I stopped two years ago when I’m found all of my fingers bleeding badly. This ridiculous ‘hobby’ began when I was in 3rd grade of elementary school(ES). I remember why I really likes to bite my nails. Those are when I got a nail check in ES, but my nails are very long. So, rather than scold by my teacher, i prefer to bite my nails. Hehehe.. I think that was a stupid thought.

#3. Black is my favorite color.

Black represents elegant, mysterious, cool, and dark. I love wearing black things, even though I rarely wear blackout, which is from my hair to heel is black. I love black color when it comes a details. Like, I love black watches, black cars, black shoes, and black hair. I ever try to paint my room into with a black color, but my parents forbid me to do it. So, I think, when I’m a father, I will have some room that covered with black color.

#4. A vampire??

Hehehe.. It is not like you’ve imagine. I just like to drink snake’s blood with my father. He said that is is good for my body. So, I’m just a son who obeyed his father. But, I enjoyed this suggestion. Hehehe..

#5. I want to meet Kurt Cobain.

Yeah that is right. Although I know that is impossible, I still wants to meet him and tell him how great he was. But, maybe I could meet him when it is a time.

#6. I was like to skateboarding.

Yes, and it was. I skate from the beginning of my first year in junior-high. I don’t know why I like this game, but this game looks very awesome to me. Caused by some reasons, I stop plays when in my last year in high school. Until now, I still loves to watch any skateboarding event, competition, and many more. My hero in this game is Rodney Mullen. I like Danny Way’s quotation about skateboarding. Here it is: “Skateboarding is not a sport. It is a lifestyle. When you stop skateboarding, you stop life!”

#7. I prefer reading than watching.

It is true that I prefer reading than watching. But, it’s just occurred when it comes to reading a novel. From all of the novel based movie, I often preferred the novel version. I don’t know. When I’m reading a novel, my imagination about what happen in novel is limitless. But, when it comes to the movie, they just take all of my imagination and force me to use their imagination.

#8. I am a pedestrian.

I prefer to use my foot rather than use my car. Yes it is true. But that just for a short distance trip. Hehehe.. When I’m in my first year of University, I often walk from my housing into the campus with my friends. I think it is healthy, rather than to use public transportation. If I don’t bring a car to campus, and there is none of my friend that I can’t go with, so i prefer to walk to my housing.

#9. I love my third eye.

My third eye is my cameras. Right now, I have three cameras, which are Lumix LX3, D300, and FM 10. But I think I neglected that last one. Hehe.. I love using them to capture every moment, but I prefer to capture the beauty of the earth. Like the shape of the mountain, the shine of sun when it set, the warmth of the stars, the singing sea, the bold of the cloud, and many more.

#10. I’m often to get mad.

Maybe some of you say that I’m quite, calm, and something. But, it is contrary with this facts. Yes, I am often to get mad. But, when I am mad, I always try to shut it down. So, it is often to see me missing or disappear suddenly. For me, disappear from others is my way to shut down my emotion and my anger. Hehehe…

Yeah, that’s not all of my facts actually. There are lot of funny facts if you wants to know. Hehehe… So, I think Reno, Bayu, Alung, Etgar, Rafdy, Anin, Arini, Cacuy, Nissa, and Kenny must be prepare for another of this game.

So, let’s get it on!

Watch These Watches

Now, I wants to talk about one of my collection hobbies, which is watch. I don’t like the ordinary watches, I like the unique one. But, if the watches are black colored, usually I’d get interested into that one. In choosing watches, I’m not a brand oriented person. But, I have some brands that I like, which are Nixon, Nooka, and Omega. Nowadays, watches are not only used to give an information about the time. But, it also used has a use as a fashionable accessory. Below, I will show you some cool and unique watches…

How is it? I think those are very unique and cool watch. They all are very creative, either the designer or the company. The designer are very creative, because they can make the ordinary watch design became an extraordinary watch design. The company also creative. They can set a high brand image into their customer so that the customer will satisfied when using their watch. Another strategy is to make the watch limited. Lets said that there is a watch that only produced 1000 item. Of course the customer will have more pride when using this watch. I’m the one who also trapped into this strategy. But, what can I do? I love limited items. Hehehe…

Trying Out a Lumix LX-3

You know, I’ve just bought a new digital camera. Not new actually, I’ve bought it a month ago. This camera’s performance is a little bit shocking me, especially in the color tone. The color tone is unbelievably great, and it’s seems like ‘striking right through your eyes’. Hehe.. But that’s true. And I love the shape of its body, which is looks very very classy classic. Here it is…

Great, isn’t it? But, I bought it not just because I like its looks. I bought it because it has many features that makes me forget that I also have DSLR. Hehe.. This camera had almost all function that DSLR has, such as Aperture Priority mode, Shutter Priority mode, Manual Mode, Auto Focus, Manual Focus, and the two that I love are Macro focus and multiple exposure mode. Usually, a common digital camera has only one aspect ratio, which is 4:3. But, this camera has THREE aspect ratios, which are 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9. Another great thing is that this camera has a very fast lens, which is LEICA DC Vario-Summicron F2.0 24-60mm. It is very rare to see a digital camera that has a big aperture open, which is 2.0. With this big aperture open, the camera will perform greatly in low light condition. Wants to see the result? Here they are…

Those photographs are really captured from my LX-3. I’m amazed of how it can almost replace my D300. Conclusion? I think I am very satisfied with this camera. This camera isn’t just a ‘point and shoot’ camera. LX-3 is the most compact camera ever, with tons of features in it. And this camera makes me wants to capture every moment again. So, wait for my next posts about photography. Hehehe…

Toss With Style

Now, I’ll try to discuss about the photography. Even though I’m not a professional one, i love to capture every moments with my lovely cameras.  But now, i try to discuss something different about photography techniques. Maybe, this technique doesn’t require a lot of photography techniques, such as depth of field, aperture settings, shutter speed, bracketing, and many more. You don’t need any expensive cameras, such as DSLRs to do this technique. You can even use your cellphones’ camera to do this. This technique just requires you to toss your camera with all of your heart. Hehehe…

Thats why this technique named camera toss. You just need to toss your camera. Don’t hesitate to falling of your camera, just use a pillow like the picture above. Usually, camera tossing takes place in a low light condition. Why? It is because camera toss are great in capturing the beauty of lights. Here are some examples of how great that camera toss technique in capturing the beauty of lights.

Those are the examples of how great that camera toss in capturing the beauty of lights. I took those photos from the blog that talk about camera toss, which is http://cameratoss.blogspot.com. There are also photos that i took from http://www.flickr.com/groups/cameratoss.

Camera tossing are also works great in capturing the landscape and another shape of things. Below are the examples of another camera tossing in capturing view besides lights. These photos are also taken from those camera toss sites.

Here there are…

Those great photos are the example of the camera tossing.

One day, i share this technique with my friends. I show that blog and wondering if i can do that or not. So, he try it just a moment after i showed it to him. He try that with his cellphone’s camera. The result? Hehe.. Of course not. I think this technique requires a lot of experience. We must try and try again. Below, i will show my result when trying camera tossing.

Just that.. Hehe.. I don’t want to show another photos because i still learning this technique. I’m interested in trying this technique because its fun to learn. Even though a patience is a must in learning this technique, it’s still fun to learn. My friend, Reno Nismara (http://indomiejunkie.wordpress.com), also attracted to this camera tossing. Below is example from his work. FYI, he used his cellphone’s camera to create these photos.

One thing you must remember. All of those photos are not retouched by photoshop. Or should i say, it doesn’t required any photoshop retouched. Because the results are just great, so that we are satisfied enough with the photos.

So, are you interested in trying this technique? If it’s yes, that’s will be a good decision. If it’s no, you should think about that again. Hehehe… And one thing, this technique is a way better than Lomo. Trust Me!!!

Magician of Precision, King of Grass, Is That ‘title’ Still for Federer?

On the wimbledon final 2007, there is a battle between the Magician of Precision (Roger Federer) and the Matador of Spin (Rafael Nadal). On that year, Fed try to chase the record of Bjon Berg, which is won five times consecutive of Wimbledon Open.  Untill 2007, Fed was still the undisputed as the world number 1. And the final result? Of course Fed wins that battle. Here is a picture when Fed win the Wimbledon 2007…

Looks who is smiling…

2007 was a Fed’s year. He won Autralia Open, Wimbledon Open, and US Open. Thats great! Three Grand Slams a year. Fed also win three Grand Slams on 2006 and 2004. On 2005 he only won 2 Grand Slams. He lose in the semi final on Australia Open. But thats fine, he still won Wimbledon and US Open.

Wimbledon 2003 was the  silent witness of Fed’s Era. Wimbledon 2003 is the first Grand Slam that Fed wins. After that, Fed always win the Wimbledon Open until 2007. He won five times Wimbledon Open that same as Bjon Berg do. But, what happens in 2008?

Ohhh.. 2008 was a very hard year for Federer. In Australia Open, he lost in semi final when faced Tsonga. In Roland Garros French Open, he lost in final when he faced, again, Rafael Nadal. He never beat Rafa on Roland Garros since 2006, like Rafa never bet him on Wimbledon until 2007. Again, Wimbledon was the silent witness of Fed. But, now is the fall of Federer.  When Fed try to surpass the record of Bjon Berg, he failed. He lost to Rafa in Wimbledon final. He lost in a very very long match. 5 set match with total of 288 minutes. Wow.. That long match require a great amount of stamina and mental. On that match, Federer commits 52 unforced errors! Thats a very big number. But, he also hits 25 aces. Thats a big number too. I don’t know what happens with Fed. My friend said that he just had an operation with his bilge. Maybe thats right. Because, he plays not in his optimal condition.

Here are some pictures from Wimbledon final 2008…

Look at Fed’s face. He seems very shocked. He failed to surpass Bjon Berg’s record. He just be able to rival Berg’s record. At the press interview that held just after the ceremonial, he said something strange. Here is some sneak peek from the interview:

“I thought we both played well,” he said, before beginning a litany of lethargically raised eyebrows and shrugged shoulders. “The rain didn’t help me that much – I didn’t win the match, did I? I was struggling with the wind a little bit and the light was tough but that was not an excuse. This is probably the hardest loss of my career so far.”

Once the conference moved into French, Federer suddenly became decidedly more blunt and to the point. “I couldn’t see who I was playing against by the end,” he said with another shrug which he used as punctuation to make it quite clear that he had no intention of giving a more detailed answer.

When asked whether it was a consolation that it was a great player like Nadal who had put an end to his 65-match winning streak, Federer’s humour became even darker. “No. Zero consolation. I didn’t learn anything new from today – certainly not about how to play him on grass. This really hurts… Losing Paris for me was nothing, losing here is a disaster.” No more, no less.

The straw that broke the camel’s back came when he was quizzed about the vast haul of points he will have to defend in the coming tournaments – far more than Nadal – if he is to remain number one in the rankings. “Write what you want,” he glowered after a sigh, a pause and a shrug. “I’m going to try to win at the Olympics and the US Open and have a good end to the season. That’s it.”

Nah, from that interview, he said that he try to win the US Open. So, lets see what happens in US Open.

After a hard way in the draw, he finally made it to the final. Surprisingly, he didn’t met Rafa. He met, Andy Murray, who just defeat Rafa in semi final. In final, Fed plays greatly. Good news is, he win straight sets from Murray 6-2  7-5  6-2. Looks at Fed’s face when he win this Grand Slam.

He is very happy with that cup. This is his second five times consecutive Grand Slams winner after the Wimbledon. This makes him the first man who win Grand Slams five times in a row in two different events This is also his 13th Grand Slams, which is just one title below the legend Pete Sampras. Fed’s progress is better than Pete. Fed just need 38 Grand Slams to win his 13th titles, while Pete’s need more 5 Grand Slams to win his 13th titles. Easily, Fed win his 13th titles when he is younger than Pete when he win his 13th titles.

Conclusion?? I think the Magician of Precision is still suit for Fed. And what about King of Grass? Yaahh, i think that title was taken away by Rafa. But, he promised that he will back in the next year to get it back. So, lets hope that Fed will get it back in the next year. Even tough he is not number one anymore, he still be able to climb again by wining some  tournament like this US Open. And I, a very big big fan of Federer, are very happy when sees Fed’s play at US Open. His shots was magnificent, precise, and has a deadly angle. So, GO GO FEDERER!!!
